What is Podcasting?
Podcasts are digital media files (most often audio, but they can be video as well), which are produced in a series. You can subscribe to a series of files, or podcast, by using a piece of software called a podcatcher. Once you subscribe, your podcatcher periodically checks to see if any new files have been published, and if so, automatically downloads them onto your computer or portable music player for you to listen to or watch, whenever you wish.
Podcasting is an easy and powerful way to communicate your ideas and messages. You can potentially reach anyone with a broadband connection who is searching for podcasts and subscribes to your show. People who start podcasts usually want to deliver their content in a series, stretched out over a period of time. There are minimal equipment and start up costs if you already own a computer, and so this allows anyone who ever dreamed of owning a radio station (and some who didn't) the chance to transmit their ideas far beyond the reach of a radio transmitter.
Podcasters often start shows with the intention of building online communities, and often solicit comments and feedback on their programs. People use web blogs, groups, and forums to communicate with other listeners and the show's producers. Businesses are beginning to realize that podcasting is a cheap way to advertise to groups with very specific interests. Many large companies are starting to produce podcasts, both to communicate with their customers, and also with their own employees.

Web 2.0
The term "Web 2.0" is commonly associated with web applications that facilitate interactive information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design,[1] and collaboration on the World Wide Web. Examples of Web 2.0 include web-based communities, hosted services, web applications, social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs and so on. Web 2.0 is popular now. People can not only share their own dairy life in their blog but also kill time by playing games on the Internet. Because of Web 2.0, it is easier to communicate with others on the Internet. For example, FACEBOOK is popular in Taiwan. I am also involved in it. I like to share my dairy life and experiences to others by using FACKBOOK. Besides, I also kill time and relax myself by playing games of FACEBOOK. I think it is perfect that we have Web 2.0.

Lively Selina

I am Selina. I come from Changhus. There are five people in my family, including my parents, a young sister, a young borther and me. I love my families very much.
I am easygoing, optimistic and like to help other people. I like to go shopping, listening to music and traveling. Besides, I am also interested in taking a try on fresh things. Sometimes, I watch movies in order to improve my English listening.
I study in Providience University now. I major in the Department of Language, Literature and Linguistics. I am interested in English when I was a senior high school student. I aroused interest in English because of my senior high school teacher. She taught so conscientious that I did well in my study. She told me : ''Working hard will lead to success." This sentence had become my motto and inspired me a lot. This the reason that I like English very much. In addition, I also minor in the Department of Tourism and Educational Program for Elementary Schools. On the one hand, I think that the tourism is the current tendency and there are lots of advantages in developing our tourism. On the other hand, I want to be a outstanding tour guide to travel worldwide. However, I also have another dream that I want to be a excellent teacher in the elementary school because I am fond of children. I had experience of teaching English on account of service learning last semester. I learn a lot of professional ability form this incident. I was deeply impressed with this precious experience.
I am satisfied with the situation that I can study the academy I like. Therefore, I want to seize the chance to improve my English abilities. In addition, I hope that I should have a positive attitude in everything what I do. So long as I had done all I would, I would keep my heads high.
My goals are improving my foreign languages' abilities, and broadening my knowledge in each aspect, computer especially.
